New Volunteering Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has opened at the Winding House. We’re currently looking for new volunteers for our collections care team! If you’re passionate about heritage, pursuing in a career in museums or keen to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes, we want to hear from you.

As a volunteer, you’ll help our Collections Officer care for the museum collection of over 14,000 objects, contribute to new exhibits and help us continue to improve the way we manage our collections. We welcome volunteers of all ages and with varied experiences of the museum sector. We’re particularly interested in working with local residents.

We provide in-house training in collections care and if you’re looking for a career in museums, we can offer support as you take this step.
