What’s your favorite toy? Your LOL Doll? Your Scalextric track? Your Playstation 4? Absolutely none of these feature in Toys Through Time, where we explore times when toys were simpler, didn’t make noise or light up and were often, let’s face it, creepier.
But our collection of genuine and replica historical toys tells us a lot about the children who played with them and the families and communities they were part of.
Toys Through Time is all about free-play; experiencing the toys to reflect on how life in South Wales has changed over the last 2000 years.
- Discover the favourite toys of children as far back as Roman times.
- Explore our massive collection of historical toys and maybe you’ll find a new favourite.
- Experience childhood throughout history using costumes to ensure you look the part!
